Our History
ES Components has been distributing bare die, wafer and package devices since the company began in 1981 as a joint venture with Elmo Semiconductor of Burbank, California to service East Coast customers. This venture established Eastern States Components as a revolutionary in microelectronics distribution through the implementation of Bonded Inventories, JIT and Vendor Managed inventory programs. In 1986, Eastern States Components dissolved it's relationship with Elmo Semiconductor to become an independent distributor expanding our offering to include SMT and passive components from franchised and non-franchised manufacturer's.
For almost 25 years ES Components has been a Franchised Vishay distributor starting with the Ohmtek Division in 1985. Ten years later
ES Components was awarded the full line Vishay Franchise to market all the Vishay products.
Expanding its product offering in 2001, ES Components was contracted by Kimball Microelectronics, formerly Elmo Semiconductor, to market their residual inventory assets, an extensive inventory of obsolete and hard to find products.
Today, ISO 9001:2008 & AS9120 certified and ITAR registered, ES Components continues to implement innovative technologies, strategic partnershiops and revolutionary inventory management methods in order to streamline our customers' production process
